Evergreen, CO is a mountain town of Jefferson County, Colorado in the foothills just West of Denver just south of I-70.
Evergreen Lake sits at about 7,090 feet although there are homes at the top of Witter Gulch above 9,400 feet in elevation and the lowest homes in Kittredge along lower bear Creek are as low as 6,700 feet.
The population of Evergreen is approximately 9,300 residents many of which make the easy commute on I-70 to Denver. State Highway 74 bisects Evergreen and connects I-70 with Highway 73 in downtown Evergreen, eventually making its way to Conifer to the south.

Evergreen is a unique mountain community with a rich history of providing recreation and wilderness opportunities for those appreciating the beauty of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. One of the remarkable aspects of Evergreen is its ability to have kept its beautiful and quaint heritage while also providing its residents with the newest amenities and conveniences. Yes we have elaborate grocery stores including Kings Soopers and Safeway, we have coffee shops with WIFI and we have a Wal-Mart, even a McDonald’s. But in my humble opinion; one of the greatest features of Evergreen is its old downtown. Complete with the Little Bear Bar for entertainment of questionable character and BeauJo’s Pizza alongside Baskin Robbins with their outside seating overlooking Bear Creek.
